Pelican Pelik Bare A Pet Miniature Bird Companion
About this miniature
Made from high-quality resin. Perched comfortably on its nest - or perhaps hiding prey under those gnarled, razor-sharp claws - Pelican Pelik Bare A Pet Miniature by Cast n Play from We Print Miniatures brings a serene yet menacing presence to your tabletop. Typically found along a riverbank, Pelik prefers to dreamily watch the world pass by, completely unaware that the army is out scouring the land, assuming it’s met a sticky end. When the cold weather rolls in, this wily pelican takes off for warmer climes, perfect for games of Dungeons and Dragons, always knowing when it’s time for a cosy retreat.
As shown in the image, Pelik stands alert on a rocky riverbank-style base, with a long beak, layered feather texture, and a poised stance that can read as cute, watchful, or quietly predatory depending on your paint scheme. The sculpt’s crisp plumage, defined talons, and expressive head tilt make it a standout animal companion for wilderness encounters, coastal villages, docks, swamps, or fey-touched wetlands.
Available in 28mm, 32mm, 35mm and 55mm scales, this beautifully designed miniature stays true to Cast n Play's original vision, offering intricate details from the textured claws to the thoughtful pose. Perfect for any fantasy game or as a fun painting project, Pelican Pelik Bare A adds a touch of nature and mystery to your collection. Whether as a pet companion or a character in your campaign, this pelican will bring both charm and intrigue to the scene.
This is a resin miniature / resin miniatures category piece, ideal for painters and tabletop RPG players looking for a distinctive bird familiar, pet, or encounter creature.

How we size our miniatures
We measure every mini from foot to eyeline, assuming a 6 ft male, so the millimetre is the eyeline, not the top of the helmet. Females, monsters, and smaller folk scale up or down so they don't look silly standing next to a standard human.
The standard for games like D&D and many roleplay games as well as older versions of Grimdark Battlefields.
Many games use this size as it provides more detail for painting and to fit with modern game systems like Grimdark Wargames and skirmish games. Also used for 28mm Monsters to give them even more threat.
When you need a bit more threat a 35mm mini in a 32 or 28mm game can add real weight to an encounter. Great for painting to maximise detail for the tabletop
Built for shelf display, busts and showcase paint jobs. Maximum surface area for blending, framing and competition-grade detail.

Questions we get asked
A LOT
We dispatch orders five days a week. Everything is printed to order, so bigger orders take longer to print and pass quality checks. Our average dispatch time is 4 days, and very large orders can take up to 20 days. You can contact us at any time to check on your order. If a UK order is taking longer than usual, we can usually send part of it first: just ask!
No! All our miniatures are dispatched washed and cured, so they arrive as a clean base to prime and paint. No waiting, just miniatures ready to use.
Most orders are dispatched within 4 days. Royal Mail usually delivers in 2 to 3 days in the UK and 7 to 16 days to the rest of the world. Busy periods and Christmas can add a few days.
Our miniatures are made from light-reactive resin. It's all very cutting-edge science (or witchcraft, we aren't too sure).
Our resin is designed to flex rather than snap, which helps prevent breakages in the post. Now and then a thin part like a sword, staff or gun barrel arrives slightly bent. This is normal and easy to fix.
Warm water: dip the bent part in water at 40 to 50°C for 10 seconds, then hang the miniature upside down with the part pointing at the floor so gravity straightens it. Let it cool fully before you turn it upright. Still bent? Dip it again for 20 seconds; thicker parts take a little longer.
Never use a radiator, microwave or oven. If you're unsure, just get in touch and we'll be happy to help.

A slight sheen on some areas is completely normal for cured resin and does not affect the model. It can show where supports were removed or where the surface cured a little differently during printing.
If you'd like a uniform finish, a quick scuff with fine sandpaper followed by your usual primer gives an even, matt surface ready to paint.
