About this miniature
Made from high-quality resin. Capturing a moment of urgency, the Dad with Kid Fantasy Miniature by Vae Victus from We Print Miniatures is a dynamic and emotional piece for your collection. This 28mm, 32mm, 35mm and 55mm scale miniature portrays a protective father hurrying his child away from danger, an expression of concern etched on his face while the child clings tightly, trusting in their protector. The level of detail in their clothing and expressions is truly remarkable, perfect for games of Dungeons and Dragons, bringing this small scene to life with precision and care. Painters will enjoy the chance to explore a range of tones, from the father’s rugged attire to the child’s simpler garments, highlighting the bond between them. True to Vae Victus’s original design, this unaltered miniature is a high-quality addition, perfect for collectors who appreciate figures that tell a story. Whether displayed in a collection or used to add depth to a Dungeons & Dragons campaign, the Dad with Kid miniature is a touching, beautifully crafted piece that adds emotional resonance to your tabletop. the father is shown in motion, carrying the child securely in one arm, with a tense, watchful expression and a free hand clenched as if pushing forward through danger. Their simple clothing reads as commoner/townsfolk rather than armored adventurers, making this an ideal NPC for taverns, streets, village encounters, rescue scenes, refugee caravans, or “get the civilians out” objectives. Use it as a quest hook (missing family, evacuation, kidnapping aftermath) or as set dressing to make your fantasy settlement feel lived-in. This resin miniature is excellent for storytelling dioramas, miniature painting practice on faces and fabric folds, and building emotional stakes into encounters. It also pairs well with other resin miniatures like townsfolk, guards, and monsters to stage chase scenes and civilian evacuations on the tabletop.

  • "The mini is excellent to paint with the raised printing front and back allowing for contrast colours to be shown effectively. The mini looks amazing when painted and is now a firm favourite in our games."

From skirmish to centrepiece

How we size our miniatures

We measure every mini from foot to eyeline, assuming a 6 ft male — so the millimetre is the eyeline, not the top of the helmet. Females, monsters, and smaller folk scale up or down so they don't look silly standing next to a standard human.

Compare our miniatures against leading games
28mmClassic

The standard for games like D&D and many roleplay games as well as older versions of Grimdark Battlefields.

Shop Classic
32mmModern

Many games use this size as it provides more detail for painting and to fit with modern game systems like Grimdark Wargames and skirmish games. Also used for 28mm Monsters to give them even more threat.

Shop Modern
35mmBeefy Bob

When you need a bit more threat a 35mm mini in a 32 or 28mm game can add real weight to an encounter. Great for painting to maximise detail for the tabletop

Questions we get asked
A LOT

We dispatch orders five days a week. Everything is printed to order, so bigger orders take longer to print and pass quality checks. Our average dispatch time is 4 days, and very large orders can take up to 20 days. You can contact us at any time to check on your order. If a UK order is taking longer than usual, we can usually send part of it first: just ask!

No! All our miniatures are dispatched washed and cured, so they arrive as a clean base to prime and paint. No waiting, just miniatures ready to use.

Most orders are dispatched within 4 days. Royal Mail usually delivers in 2 to 3 days in the UK and 7 to 16 days to the rest of the world. Busy periods and Christmas can add a few days.

Our miniatures are made from light-reactive resin. It's all very cutting-edge science (or witchcraft, we aren't too sure).

Our resin is designed to flex rather than snap, which helps prevent breakages in the post. Now and then a thin part like a sword, staff or gun barrel arrives slightly bent. This is normal and easy to fix.

Warm water: dip the bent part in water at 40 to 50°C for 10 seconds, then hang the miniature upside down with the part pointing at the floor so gravity straightens it. Let it cool fully before you turn it upright. Still bent? Dip it again for 20 seconds; thicker parts take a little longer.

Never use a radiator, microwave or oven. If you're unsure, just get in touch and we'll be happy to help.

Once your order ships we'll email you. Everything is printed to order, so at busy times it can take up to 5 days to print and dispatch. Large orders take longer, and we may send part of your order first so you're not waiting for all of it.

Don't worry. Get in touch, quote your order number, and we'll send a replacement as a priority. At busy times it can take a few extra days.

There's no need to send the broken miniature back: keep it for a conversion project.

Yes. You can ask for a refund within 30 days of receiving your order. Contact our support team with your order number and the items you'd like refunded.

If something arrives damaged, faulty or wrong, we'll replace or refund it at no cost to you. If you've changed your mind or ordered the wrong size, we may ask you to send it back at your cost first. Full details are in our Refund Policy.

A slight sheen on some areas is completely normal for cured resin and does not affect the model. It can show where supports were removed or where the surface cured a little differently during printing.

If you'd like a uniform finish, a quick scuff with fine sandpaper followed by your usual primer gives an even, matte surface ready to paint.
