Archaeologist Arthur Adventurer Miniature Lantern Shovel Explorer
About this miniature
Made from high-quality resin. Inquisitive Archaeologist Arthur Adventurer Miniature is the picture of mystery and intrigue in this captivating fantasy miniature by RN Estudio. Carrying a spade in one hand and a lantern in the other, he’s clearly off on a secretive midnight mission - but what could he be up to? Whether he’s unearthing buried treasure or something more sinister, Arthur’s enigmatic presence, perfect for games of Dungeons and Dragons, adds depth to any game. His shadowy intentions make him a character best kept on your side, especially since he probably knows where all the bodies are buried!
Supplied by We Print Miniatures, Arthur comes with a plastic base, making him ready for action in your next D&D campaign or fantasy tabletop game. This detailed 28mm, 32mm, 35mm and 55mm miniature offers plenty of storytelling potential, bringing suspense and mystery to your collection. Whether as a rogue ally or a suspicious foe, Arthur is a must-have for those who enjoy a bit of intrigue.
From the sculpt, Arthur reads as a classic explorer/antiquarian: practical jacket and trousers, a confident forward-leaning stance, a large shovel shouldered for digging, and an old-style lantern held high to light the way through tomb corridors, ruins, catacombs, or foggy city streets. This resin miniature is ideal as an investigator NPC, dungeon-delver hireling, relic hunter, or plot-hook quest giver. Add it to your party, paint it as a gritty treasure seeker, or use it as an ominous rival. We also offer resin miniatures for fantasy tabletop encounters, narrative skirmishes, and roleplay scenes where mystery matters.

How we size our miniatures
We measure every mini from foot to eyeline, assuming a 6 ft male, so the millimetre is the eyeline, not the top of the helmet. Females, monsters, and smaller folk scale up or down so they don't look silly standing next to a standard human.
The standard for games like D&D and many roleplay games as well as older versions of Grimdark Battlefields.
Many games use this size as it provides more detail for painting and to fit with modern game systems like Grimdark Wargames and skirmish games. Also used for 28mm Monsters to give them even more threat.
When you need a bit more threat a 35mm mini in a 32 or 28mm game can add real weight to an encounter. Great for painting to maximise detail for the tabletop
Built for shelf display, busts and showcase paint jobs. Maximum surface area for blending, framing and competition-grade detail.

Questions we get asked
A LOT
We dispatch orders five days a week. Everything is printed to order, so bigger orders take longer to print and pass quality checks. Our average dispatch time is 4 days, and very large orders can take up to 20 days. You can contact us at any time to check on your order. If a UK order is taking longer than usual, we can usually send part of it first: just ask!
No! All our miniatures are dispatched washed and cured, so they arrive as a clean base to prime and paint. No waiting, just miniatures ready to use.
Most orders are dispatched within 4 days. Royal Mail usually delivers in 2 to 3 days in the UK and 7 to 16 days to the rest of the world. Busy periods and Christmas can add a few days.
Our miniatures are made from light-reactive resin. It's all very cutting-edge science (or witchcraft, we aren't too sure).
Our resin is designed to flex rather than snap, which helps prevent breakages in the post. Now and then a thin part like a sword, staff or gun barrel arrives slightly bent. This is normal and easy to fix.
Warm water: dip the bent part in water at 40 to 50°C for 10 seconds, then hang the miniature upside down with the part pointing at the floor so gravity straightens it. Let it cool fully before you turn it upright. Still bent? Dip it again for 20 seconds; thicker parts take a little longer.
Never use a radiator, microwave or oven. If you're unsure, just get in touch and we'll be happy to help.

A slight sheen on some areas is completely normal for cured resin and does not affect the model. It can show where supports were removed or where the surface cured a little differently during printing.
If you'd like a uniform finish, a quick scuff with fine sandpaper followed by your usual primer gives an even, matt surface ready to paint.
